Rosewood Sideboard by Sven Ivar Dysthe for Dokka Mobler
An incredibly rare and beautiful sideboard, designed by Swedish architect, Sven Ivar Dysthe for Dokka Mobler in the early 1960s.
This sideboard is truly one that has to be seen in person to be fully appreciated. The build quality, finish and subtle details are some of the best we’ve ever seen. Internally this piece is lined with stunning birch, including solid birch drawers and pull out shelving. Externally we see a truly Minimalist design, utilising small solid Rosewood drawer pulls and a locking button to the centre. The sideboard sits on simple steel legs.
Under our care we have totally restored this piece, inside and out and finished it in a UV protective satin lacquer, as close of a match to the original finish as possible whilst also preserving it against colour fading and stains.
