Alvar Aalto Stool 60 - CC41 Early Production
A very rare early Alvar Aalto Stool 60 with the CC41 stamp underneath, this was a Utility Mark given to imported goods during WW2.
Purchased from the daughter of the original owner this beautifully patinated Stool 60 is still perfectly useable everyday, a true testament to Aalto’s sustainable and groundbreaking designs.
The finish has warmed over the years to a beautiful honey coloured Birch with some light cracking in the hardwax oil adding another level of beautiful wear. On the underside of the stool we see four CC41 stamps as well as the faded remnants of what would of read “Aalto Design Made in Finland”.
