Alvar Aalto Model 68 Dining Chairs
Picked up on our last trip in Denmark, these Alvar Aalto Model 68's had been laid to rest in the back of the owners shed after a lifetime of hard use, initially at a local school and then in his home as extra seating. We estimate these to be late 1950s to early 1960s examples produced by Artek.
We took these on as a fun project to restore back to a useable condition whilst also allowing them to still show plenty of patina from a hard life. They have been dismantled, stripped back and refinished. Although heavily patinated they are ready for daily use once again.
